Rendall and Rittner is a leading UK property management company. The Northern branch covers the northwest of England, including Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds, managing residential and mixed-use blocks of all sizes and ages, from old-style townhouses to new-build estates.

 

With many inner-city high-rise blocks on their books to maintain, our customer has many waste disposal bins at each site which it finds difficult to move using only people power. They began to search for a solution that would accommodate moving a train of bins from one area to another at a residential block undergoing build in London, safely and securely and without causing injury.

 

Our team visited the leadership team at their head office in London for a consultation and free onsite demonstration. After seeing several tow units in action, the customer settled on the V-Move XLHD electric tow tug due to its 5000kg towing capacity and 1500watt electric motor, making quick work of moving the bin train around the site.

 

The customer took the towing unit on a 3-year contract hire basis; a flexible plan with monthly payments. They also purchased the towing couplings that our team fitted to each bin to hold them together securely when in a train formation.

 

Rendall and Rittner is now five months into their contract and uses the tow tug daily with no issues. Their maintenance team moves waste bins quickly and efficiently across the site, saving them significant time and cost of management.
