Tech start-up Arrival, based in the UK capital, designs and manufactures electric vehicles for light commercial use.
The company is driven by sustainability, not only with the green machines produced at their plant but with each vehicle component and the methods used to assemble them. Parts are manufactured in their laboratory before they move to the microfactory for assembly by cell-powered robots. This level of ‘clean manufacturing’ requires exceptional care to ensure zero damage or contamination to each part, putting a huge responsibility on the staff tasked with moving the componentry.
Arrival contacted our team to ask about a device to tow their large trolleys used to carry vehicle componentry for assembly and move completed vehicles to the stores. With their vans and componentry weighing several thousand kilos, they required a solution with plenty of power and the capacity to keep going all day – and, for us, there is only one tow tug that fits the bill: the V-Move XL-HD by market leaders, Verhagen Leiden.

After the Arrival team saw the V-Move XL-HD in action, they ordered a single unit, which we quickly shipped to their headquarters in London as a standard configuration. Since then, they have continued using the tug in and around their manufacturing facilities daily without any issues.
Our team remains on hand for any machine servicing or replacement parts, although Arrival has been completely satisfied with their purchase. It’s great knowing the manufacturers of the future find their jobs much easier thanks to their ultra-reliable electric tow tug from Industar!
