AJC EasyCabin is a leader in designing and manufacturing mobile welfare units focusing on sustainability. Based in Luton, the company has customers across the UK and beyond.
Mobile welfare units are now a common addition to many workplaces and used in multiple industries – construction, plant hire, rail, events and utilities to name a few. While the internal features might vary depending on the customer’s needs, one thing remains the same with each unit: its weight! The units are built with durability in mind, using robust and heavy materials to withstand the elements, making them heavy. That’s before you consider the fittings, including cooking, bathroom, toilet and sleeping facilities, plus any power systems. Once on a site, a unit doesn’t need to move – yet a manufacturer like AJC EasyCabin has to move multiple units daily across their own and their customers’ sites!
When the customer approached us, they already had a unit from another supplier, but it no longer worked effectively. They wanted something similar yet reliable to tow their welfare units safely across sites. With each of their cabins weighing up to 5,000kg, we had the perfect solution at the ready: our V-Move XL-HD electric tow tug.
The V-Move XL-HD model is a robust, heavy-duty unit capable of easily moving weights up to 5,000kg. The standard unit is configurable, with a tow ball, hitches, hydraulic couplings and all-terrain tires available to match the customer requirements. It powers overnight in 5-8 hours, is always available each morning and is reliable to stay charged for 1-2 days depending on its use.
We demonstrated the V-Move XL-HD at their site in Luton. AJC EasyCabin loved what they saw and ordered a unit immediately. Before delivery, we fitted solid tires needed to ensure simple and safe movement across multiple terrains.
The customer has been using their V-Move XL-HD for two years now. During this time, it has received two services and undergone a minor repair caused by its repetitive use. We also found a fix for the unit that wasn’t working when they first spoke with us – and now, they come to Industar for all machine repairs and servicing. They are 100% happy with our support and receive a quality service every time.
