- Environmental Benefits
As the utility industry moves towards net-zero, ULC was looking for new ways to continue reducing their carbon emissions on site. In 2020, ULC invested in eco-cabin control centres where the operatives control our robotic technology, CISBOT, from above the ground. Equipped with solar panels, the eco-cabins allow the CISBOT operation to produce zero carbon emissions.
Using the mover on site will continue to help ULC reduce emissions on site as it can remove the need for vehicles on site to move the eco-cabins.
- Health & Safety
Moving the eco-cabins between sites requires vehicles to manoeuvre the eco-cabin into the correct position. Purchasing a mover from Industar allows one person to move the eco-cabin on-site, reducing the volume of vehicle movements and ensuring optimal standards of health and safety on site.
- Efficiency
Identifying an opportunity to improve efficiency on site, ULC will now be able to move the eco-cabins to tighter and more challenging site locations than if using a vehicle. This may help reduce the time it takes for ULC to set up sites ahead of CISBOT launches.
