Moving bins from a residential basement to roadside

Zenith Management is an award-winning facility and waste management company based in Manchester, UK. The team supports thousands of residents, with block management their leading service.

 

Waste disposal bins are in abundance at multi-living residences, with support teams left having to move tens of units at a time on waste collection day. Consequently, Zenith wanted a solution to help their staff move many bins in one go, reducing time spent on moving them from the basement to the roadside and minimising the risk of injuries to staff shifting heavy items to and fro on repeat.

 

The team at Zenith were using a competitor’s tow-tug until it broke down, at which point they were told it could not be fixed quickly. They approached our team to see if we could provide a unit on a hire basis to bridge the gap and continue moving the waste bins as required. Understanding their plight, we offered the V-Move 650 from world tow tug leaders, Verhagen Leiden, on a 6-week hire basis.

 

The V-Move 650 is a ride-on unit that is easy to operate and strong enough to tow up to 2000kg at a time – perfect for shifting heavily-filled garbage bins without putting strain on the body. It charges overnight, is quick to power on each day when needed, and easily moves its loads. Safety features including an emergency stop button, key switch ignition and an automatic handbrake add to this unit’s broad appeal.

 

Zenith Management was extremely pleased with our unit, which helped them out of a sticky situation. Before using it, they were not familiar with the Dutch brand and found it a fantastic model to operate. They also appreciated the level of service provided by our team, who were happy to go above and beyond our usual scope to help a customer in need of a temporary solution.
