At thirteen depots across the country, teams work hard every day to respond to the needs of their customers. At their site in Hull, customer Boss – a welfare trailer manufacturer based in Lincoln – had asked for a device to move trailers around the factory before dispatching them to their new owners. Popular on worksites, welfare trailers cater to different needs, yet they are always heavy, each weighing between 2 and 3.5kgs depending on their size and interior fittings. As such, they are challenging to move using manpower alone.

While Windsors don’t stock and hire out towing devices, they knew just the team to ask for help. After making contact with Industar, our team paid them two visits to understand more about the specific application. We demonstrated a range of tow tug units, and they eventually settled on the best-selling market favourite, the V-Move XL-HD from Verhagen Leiden.

Robust and powerful, the V-Move XL-HD model makes a breeze of pushing and pulling weights up to 5,000kg. This versatile machine can be adapted to meet individual customer requirements with multiple optional fittings, including a tow ball, hitches, hydraulic couplings, ultra-handlebar, and all-terrain tires. Recharging in 5-8 hours, this reliable tug powers up overnight and is good to go each morning. Despite its power, this compact device has a small footprint that manages tight spaces and packs away easily when not in use.

The V-Move XL-HD tow tug comes with a fixed handlebar as standard. Due to the tight spaces in the Boss factory, they required something more flexible to move their trailers around the factory. Prior to shipping, our team upgraded the tug to include a fully steerable and flexible SDK handlebar to suit their needs.
